Painter Davide Battistin displayed his artworks in “Beyond the Horizon”, a solo exhibition curated by Ian Warrell and held in the Scarpa area at the Querini Stampalia Foundation, Venice. To accompany the exhibition, a volume collected a selection of works dating back to 2012, in which the artist depicts Venice – following the example of great landscape artists such as Turner – as a city suspended between the sky and the sea. The concept underlying the project is an immersion in the infinite variations of light reflecting on water. The project includes the exhibition identity and the catalogue.
“Beyond the Horizon” è la mostra personale dell’artista Davide Battistin allestita nell’Area Scarpa della Fondazione Querini Stampalia e curata da Ian Warrell. Il volume che accompagna la mostra raccoglie una selezione di opere realizzate a partire dal 2012 in cui il pittore rappresenta Venezia, città sospesa tra acqua e cielo, nella tradizione dei grandi vedutisti, primo fra tutti Turner. Il concept alla base del progetto è un’immersione nelle infinite variazioni della luce riflessa sull’acqua. Il progetto include l’identità della mostra e il catalogo.
