Bird Cage. A Temporary Shelter

Visual identity for the site-specific installation “Bird Cage. A Temporary Shelter” set in the Galleria Borghese in Rome by Shanghai-based artist, Zhang Enli. The logo for the exhibition is based on the artist’s great painted cardboard constructions: According to the artist’s vision, the cube, as the most primeval architectural module able to reshape itself into ever changing and brand-new structures, represents a shelter for restless spirits. The identity’s colours are also inspired by Zhang Enli’s work, by his research on nature as embodied in the Secret Gardens of the Galleria Borghese, open to the public on the occasion of the installation.
Identità visiva per l’installazione site-specific “Bird Cage. A Temporary Shelter” creata per Galleria Borghese, a Roma, dall’artista Zhang Enli. L’artwork per il progetto si basa sulle grandi costruzioni di cartone dipinto realizzate dall’artista: nella sua visione, il cubo, il più primitivo modulo architettonico, configurandosi in strutture sempre nuove, rappresenta un riparo per gli spiriti irrequieti. I colori dell’identità visiva sono anch’essi inspirati dal lavoro di Zhang Enli, dalla sua ricerca sul tema della Natura realizzata negli spazi del Giardino Segreto di Tramontana della Galleria Borghese, aperto al pubblico in occasione dell’installazione.
